Examination Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction


These Examination Terms & Conditions govern participation in all examinations conducted by IDFO - International Drilling Fluids Organization.


By registering for and/or attempting an IDFO examination, candidates agree to comply fully with these terms.



2. Examination Authority


All examinations are conducted exclusively by IDFO - International Drilling Fluids Organization as an independent certification body.


IDFO reserves full authority over:

• Examination content

• Administration

• Scoring and results

• Certification decisions



3. Candidate Responsibility


Candidates must:

• Provide accurate and complete personal information

• Ensure they are the individual taking the examination

• Follow all examination instructions

• Complete the examination independently and without assistance



4. Examination Rules


During the examination, candidates must NOT:

• Receive assistance from any person

• Use unauthorized materials or devices

• Use external software, automated tools, or artificial intelligence (AI) systems to assist in answering questions

• Copy, record, or distribute exam content

• Attempt to impersonate another candidate


Failure to comply may result in disqualification.



5. Examination Integrity


IDFO maintains strict measures to ensure examination integrity.


Any suspected misconduct, including cheating, use of unauthorized assistance, or fraud, may result in:

• Immediate termination of the examination

• Invalidation of results

• Suspension or permanent restriction from future examinations

• Revocation of previously issued certifications



6. Results & Certification

• Results are issued based on predefined assessment criteria

• Certification is granted only upon successful completion

• IDFO decisions regarding results are final and binding, except where a formal remarking request is submitted in accordance with Section 7



7. Remarking Policy


Candidates have the right to request a remarking of their examination results.


Conditions:

• A formal request must be submitted by email to remark@idfo.org.uk within a defined period of seven (7) days from result issuance

• A remarking fee will apply


Outcome:

• If an error is identified in the original marking, the result will be corrected accordingly

• In such cases, the remarking fee will be fully refunded

• If no error is found, the original result will stand and the fee will not be refunded


IDFO’s decision following remarking is final.



8. Certification Validity


All certifications issued by IDFO are valid for:


Three (3) years from the issue date


Renewal requires re-examination.



9. Limitation of Liability


IDFO shall not be held liable for:

• Technical interruptions or system issues

• Candidate device or connectivity failures

• Any direct or indirect consequences arising from examination participation



10. Use of Data


Candidate information is collected and used solely for:

• Examination administration

• Certification records

• Verification purposes



11. Amendments

IDFO reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the candidate to review the latest version before participating in any examination.

All examinations are conducted exclusively by IDFO as per Examination Terms and Conditions.
